How soon can home care start with Visiting Angels Wayzata?
Oftentimes families can start care within 48-72 hours of the consultation. It will depend a number of factors such as when paperwork is completed, hours needed, and location.
What does in-home care cost?
The cost of home care varies from location to location. In Minnesota, the average hourly cost is around $43-$48/hour. Check out our Cost of Home Care page for more detailed information. We do not have a Medicare or Medicaid certification. The type of home care services offered through Medicare and Medicaid are often different than what we offer. Typically a Medicare "episode" is offered after a hospitalization when a client is considered "home-bound." This can include weekly visits from Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Skilled Nursing, typically over a 6 week period.
How can I get help paying for home care services?
There are some grant programs available, such as an ALS Grant, CDCS, Long-Term Care insurance, and Veterans benefits are what we work with most often.
